Forgery Division
The Ruston Police Department has one criminal investigator who specializes in forgery, bank-related fraud and credit card thefts. What started out as a part-time responsibility has now developed into a full-time assignment due to the increase in credit card use, improvements in computers and increase in internet sales. Our investigator works closely with all local banking institutions and local law enforcement agencies, as well as with the FBI and U. S. Secret Service.
