City Clerk/Treasurer

The City Clerk/Treasurer's Office is responsible for administering and maintaining the following functions:

  • City's official records, including financial records, contracts, ordinances, resolutions, and minutes of the City Council meetings;
  • City treasury, including cash management, debt issuance and administration, and special financial projects;
  • Investments of idle cash in certificates of deposit, U.S. treasury notes and bills, LAMP (Louisiana Asset Management Pool);
  • Timely distribution of requests for public information, as authorized by L.R.S. 44:33;
  • Oversight responsibility for the Civic Center, Purchasing Divisions, and Section 8 Housing office.
