Mask are still mandated at the following:
- K-12 Schools
- Colleges and Universities
- Public Transit
- Many State Government Buildings
- Health Care Facilities
The City of Ruston has lifted the mask mandate within the city limits with the following exception:
Local businesses can choose to require masks, however the business must have clear signage on the entrance of their facility.
- There are no longer capacity restrictions for outdoor events.
- Restrictions are also eased for indoor venues and facilities.
- Indoor facilities can have 75% occupancy with social distancing
- Indoor facilities can have 100% occupancy with masks.
These guidelines are in place from April 28 - May 25, 2021.

City parks and playgrounds will reopen for Phase III . The City of Ruston will clean and sanitize bathroom facilities on a daily basis. Playgrounds are open and pavilions may be reserved by calling our RPAR office at 318-255-5800.
Utility Billing and Customer service hours are as follows:
Monday-Thursday
Drive Thru is Open to receive payments from 7:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Office is Open, for service connections/disconnections from 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
Friday
Drive Thru is Open 7:30 A.M. - 11:30 A.M.
Office is Open 8:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M
Payments can still be made online at ruston.org, through our automated phone number at 1-866-890-5755, placed in our drop box by the drive thru, or mailed to PO Box 307 Ruston LA, 71273-0307. Service Connections/Disconnections will not be made after 11am on Fridays. We ask that all customers use social distancing measures, wear a mask when possible, and sanitize hands before visiting the office for service.

Section 8 office will be operate by appointment only. Please contact the Section 8 office by phone to make an appointment, 318-251-3203. Hours of opperation are M-Th 7:30am-5:00pm and Friday 7:30am-11:30am. We ask that all visitors wear face masks, practice social distancing, and wash hands before entering the office for an appointment. All visitors who may be experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms (like fever, coughing, or other respiratory issues) are asked to reschedule their appointment.
