Service Connections/Disconnections will not be made after 10:30 A.M. on Fridays.

To begin new service submit Residential Application Form, a current copy of your state/federal ID, driver's license, or passport, along with one of the following:
*A customer service representative will contact you once your application is received to collect your deposit or you may come to the City Hall Customer Service office the next business day to pay your deposit.
**All applications must have valid phone number for collecting deposits or questions regarding application.
***WE CANNOT ACCEPT APPLICATIONS MORE THAN 7 DAYS IN ADVANCE OF THE TURN ON DATE.
For utility service for 7 days, submit the 7 day Landlord form.
For homeowners, if you would like utilities to automatically revert to your name, submit the revert to owner form to firstname.lastname@example.org, to cancel this service fill out the cancel revert to owner form. *also include a copy of your photo ID.
Prior to submitting application for utility service go to http://www.mygovernmentonline.org to complete application for Certificate of Occupancy. If you have questions about this application, contact The City of Ruston Inspections department at 318-251-8640.
To disconnect utility services please fill out the Utility Service Disconnect Form and submit it along with a copy of your state or federal ID.
If your residence has a separate metered sprinkler system, please fill out an additional Disconnect Form for the sprinkler system to insure that both accounts are closed out.
To disconnect Recycling (Inside or Outside of City Limits) or Outside City Limits Garbage Services please fill out the Recycle/Garbage Disconnect Form and submit it along with a copy of your state or federal ID.
Garbage and Recycling Service:
To apply for garbage outside the city limits and recycling inside or outside of the city limits go to rustonrecycles to fill out the application.
To change your mailing addres please submit Change of Address form with a copy of your sate or federal ID.
To reinstate recently disconnected utilities (within 7 days of disconnection) Reinstatement of Utilities Form with a copy of your state or federal ID.
