The City of Ruston announces that, weather permitting, smoke testing will begin on April 8, 2026, in the sewer systems along Abby Lane, Redwood St, Creekwood St, Tanglewood Dr, Lovers Lane, Woodhaven Rd, and adjacent areas (see map below). This testing is necessary to allow the City of Ruston to assess the current condition of its sewer system. Testing is anticipated to last approximately three weeks. The smoke used during this testing is non-toxic and leaves no residual. Please be aware that smoke may enter a home or business if plumbing facilities of that structure are defective or improperly installed.
